The Finger (Hindu: Lingam) represents one’s atta (or atman), in other words, one’s essence, hence one’s true nature or substance.

One’s essential nature is a momentary event. It is quantised. In the timeless moment, i.e. as quantum it is in itself unchanging, permanent and fully ‘owned’.
